Black, White and Flu

Did anyone else catch the horrendous flu this season? Let me tell you, it was not of this world. I thought I was going to die. No OTC medicine worked. No amount of rest alleviated the massive pounding in my head. I wanted to die because death seemed a sweeter option. If you’re sick or feeling under the weather or if you don’t want to get sick, here are 5 simple tips to help you stay healthy.

  1. Don’t touch your face. You can avoid germs/bacteria getting into your body by not touching your face. If you need to touch your face, be sure to wash your hands before and after you touch your face.
  2. Take your vitamins and supplements. Take them even if you feel fine. You want to keep your immune system nice and healthy.
  3. Drink lemon infused water. Lemon has naturally healing qualities. If you don’t like lemon, just drink water! You want to flush the toxins out and keep your body nice and hydrated.
  4. Sleep early. Every says sleep is important (which it is), but sleeping early and getting up early has helped me curb my appetite, improve my skin,  get quality rest and have a sharper mind in the morning.
  5. Eat more veggies. They’re loaded with tons of vitamins and minerals that can help your get better or keep you healthy!

Hello Jen! Oh my, i’m sorry you got that flu. Thank god I didn’t get it so badly this year. Just 1 week in October and that was it. Thank god. I love the tips you gave here, seriously you should write a tip book. I’d buy it, lol. I love your dress, the black and white is just so classic, but then again you are one classic woman! Another awesome well thought out post my friend. Can’t wait to read the next one.

I’m unfortunately one of those who caught it big time and had it for like forever and despite being basically back in action, I still can’t taste or smell anything, so yay to that, haha. I do need to get better at the going to sleep part though so thanks for reminding me! 🙂

  3. SO glad that you are feeling better. I had it last year and thought I too was going to die. It was awful. I am a true believer in going to sleep early & getting up early. It makes you so much more productive ! Love the black and white, so classic and pretty !

  4. Thankfully, I din’t get the flu, but I am finding out I’ve been lied to all these years about me “needing” the vaccine. So far, I’ve gone 2 years without it and no problems. To each their own, I guess! These tips I will share with my bf. He’s not so lucky when it comes to these things haha. You look great as usual!
