More Wine Please

Do you drink wine? I drink wine on rare occasions. I actually don’t drink much at all because I don’t like the taste of alcohol and the burning sensation in my throat. Since I don’t drink wine, I decided to create an outfit inspired by red wine. If you know me, you know how much I love my monochrome looks! I wore a soft pink sweater to complement the rich, wine-colored pants and boots.

Here are some cool facts about wine. Drink responsibly!

1. California is the fourth-largest wine producer in the world after France, Italy and Spain. Wineries generate more trafficΒ than Disneyland! What? #mindblown

2. Wine was used to purify water in the ancient days. The alcohol in wine killed bacteria that was in the water.

3. Since women have less digestive enzymes in the stomach, we’re more susceptible to feel the effects of wine (aka get drunk quicker) than men.

4. Wine bottles were never meant to be stored standing up. They were meant to be kept on their side so that the liquid could come in contact with the cork, preventing dryness, shrinkage and air leaking into the bottle.

I don’t drink wine either, but I cook with wine and love wine as a color and you’ve put together a beautiful outfit with just that in mind! πŸ™‚ I also didn’t know about storing wine bottles laying down, but then again, I rarely have any except if I make a sauce or something with red wine.
