Cruella de Pipes

Doesn’t this outfit remind you of Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmations? The hubs thought so. I used to love that movie when I was a kid and watched it over and over. I think that’s the movie that made me love dogs. I grew up havingย 10+ dogs (not at one time) over the span of my life. Now I have two cats.

Since the temps have been dropping, I found myself wanting to wear cozy sweaters, long winter coats and fur jackets. I still wanted to be chic so I paired this striped faux fur jacket with a different kind of LBD. You don’t need to have an occasion to “dress up”. Own what you wear. Have confidence that you meant to dress the way you did whether you’re going to a formal event or not. I often find that people here in LA are too lax. I really love the ย west coast, laid back, beach-bum mentality, but dressing well never hurt anyone. As fashion mogul Tom Ford once said, “Dressing well is a form of good manners”.

I know it’s not the ideal thing to say but I love Cruella and style. There’s something extremely undeniably chic about her craziness. lol

OMG Jen, I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS POST. I love the Cruella vibes. That movie is everything and Cruella is everything. I love your dress and the fur! Disney needs to see this because you did an amazing unintentional tribute to such a great film, just by putting together this awesome look. Now I will go to sleep singing the song Cruella de vil. ๐Ÿ™‚

That was my favorite movie when I was a kid too (well, that and all other Disney movies out there to be honest) and you really look like Cruella, although you’re nothing like her when it comes to personality ๐Ÿ™‚
And Tom Ford is quite right about basically… everything.
