Transitional Monochrome

I’m alive guys. I’ve never skipped a blog post before, but I missed TWO posts this past week. Driving up to Portland for 15+ hours on Tuesday, then Thanksgiving, then Black Friday, then driving down to Los Angeles for another 15+ hours, then heading straight to work on Monday with 3 hours of sleep and prepping for a job interview on Tuesday really put a toll on my body. I think I’m ok. I’ve never been happier to be back at work!

Since tomorrow is December 1st, I wanted to prepare myself for the holidays by sporting a simple, yet elegant jumpsuit. You can never go wrong with black and white, right? I decided to keep things monochrome today before I start going crazy with all the bright and bold holiday colors. The one shoulder really dresses this look up. I love the built in belt and fabric detail because it creates a beautiful silhouette. The pants were a little too long and baggy, so I’m glad the top was really fitted.

I’ll be starting my 12 Days of Holiday Outfits tomorrow on Instagram so be sure to follow me @pipesnbuttons!

  2. Sweetie, trust me I hear you when you almost in agony apologize for missing two blog posts, but as bloggers we need some breaks at times as well. I know I sure need it and this weekend I’m going to do absolutely nothing which hasn’t happened since… ever. I also love how you paired that monochrome outfit and your pictures are beautiful as always! 🙂

  3. Wow, what a few days it has been for you! I hope you don’t get sick from all that traveling and lack of sleep! On another note, what a chic and classy jumpsuit! I love the simple black and white but the ruffled side makes such a major statement. I can’t wait to see the holiday looks you come up with. xoxo, Christine
