Falling For Florals

I love floral prints because you can wear them year round. Lighter colored florals can be worn for warmer seasons while the darker prints are perfect for F/W. I wouldn’t dare wear this right now because it’s consistently 80-90 degrees here, but when the weather cools down, I’ll be taking this outfit for a joyride.

Turtlenecks are the perfect layering staple for subzero (subzero being 60 degrees here in LA) temperatures. This one is thin enough to wear under a fitted dress like this one. I don’t have the boobs to wear strapless dresses so I would much prefer wearing this dress over a turtleneck. Plus, I personally find strapless dresses really uncomfortable. Since I’m a singer, I got used to wearing strapless gowns but they’re really not the most ideal thing to wear. You might be wondering, “Well Jen, why did you buy the dress you dummy?” I bought this dress because I loved the floral print and the sweetheart neckline.

Enjoy your weekend and don’t try this unless you want to break your ankle. I got lucky, folks!

I love the layering here Jen, this is genius! You get the best of both worlds, the floral, the sweetheart neckline and the turtleneck too. It looks seamless, like the dress was made like that.

  4. So cute! I love floral. You’ve just challenged me to figure out how to wear my lighter colored floral in the cooler seasons. Stay tuned. 😉 And I’m so jealous that it’s still warm there!
