Pink Slip

Although I’ve skipped a decent amount of classes back in my high school days (I know, I was a bad student), I’ve never gotten a pink slip. Until now. This pink slip is my first ever slip dress purchase. I was weary of purchasing one because I thought they’d be too thin and see through, but this one is fully lined and it doesn’t look too nightgowny. I’m also loving blush A LOT. I previously blogged a monochrome Β blush bomber outfit here. Blush seems to be one of the lighter colors that transitions well into fall and winter so you’re going to be seeing a lot more of it here.

I paired this dress with my favorite (and only, lol) magenta heels. I love the ankle strap detail and supple suede. I think it adds just the right amount of pink without stealing all the thunder from the slip dress.

Today is also the day of nevers. I’ve never worn an ear crawler before, but I decided to add a statement ear piece to spice up this look. I wasn’t on a quest for an ear crawler or any jewelry for that matter, but this happened to catch my eye and I decided to give it a go. I’m glad I did. Don’t you love it when score a great deal on something new that you end up liking a lot?!

This cross back detail is my favorite part about this dress! ‘Nuff said.

Moral of the story? Stay in school kids! Study hard and play hard. Oh and don’t get a pink slip, unless you can wear it. πŸ˜‰
