A New Year

Hello Friends and Happy New Year!!

I hope you guys are having a great start to 2016. I’ve been thinking of some New Year’s Resolutions in my head and plan to write them down after this post. I actually didn’t wear this outfit for NYE because I had to sing at church for the NYE service and didn’t think it would be appropriate to wear a short sparkly dress. I still wanted to celebrate NYE so I decided to share this outfit with you!! But before I do that, I wanted to share some of my New Year’s Resolutions with you.

Read one book a month. I love to read, but my schedule is so crazy that I don’t get much time to myself. I know some people blow through multiple books a month, but I am not that person. If I could read one full book, no matter what kind, I would be content.

Run a half marathon. I recently started running and I’m enjoying it very much. I am pushing myself to run harder and faster every week. Right now my cap is 5-6 miles, but I would love to run a 13 mile half marathon this year and finish strong.

Volunteer. I think it’s very important to give back. We often focus so much on what we don’t have, we take for granted the things we do have. I am so guilty of this too. This year I want to dedicate my time, money and talents to help people in need. I want to make an effort to volunteer and help homeless people, at risk youth, children and adults with disabilities and seniors.

What are some of your New Year’s Resolutions?
